In the years that I’ve been doing boudoir, I’m continually surprised at one thing: as women, how hard we are on ourselves.
It’s the thing I love the most about doing a boudoir session, seeing those barriers being broken right down. Seeing a woman realize that no matter what size she is, no matter what she’s been through, she is worthy and that she matters.
It’s vulnerable, I know. I understand that strutting your stuff is probably not something you do often (and if you do, you are my hero, and more of us need to be like you).
Women who come to me for a session have fears, doubts, and insecurities. During the session, we strip all of that away (pardon the pun), and each person reacts differently to how that feels. It’s my job to make you look and feel amazing, no matter how nervous you were before you walked in the door.
During the session, I’m not “hiding” parts of you, but I will coach you into poses that flatter your shape and curves. All of this is done to your comfort level, so don’t worry that you’ll be forced into odd and unnatural poses that just don’t “feel” like yourself.
Self-Empowerment, Self Love and Femininity
Boudoir photography is about so much more than just taking sexy photos. It’s about celebrating your femininity, owning your sexuality, and feeling confident and beautiful in your own skin.
It’s about self-love. It’s about empowerment…..and it’s something every woman should experience at least once in her life.
Boudoir is an incredibly personal experience and one that will stay with you long after the boudoir photo session is over. The images we create together will be a beautiful reminder of the strong, sexy, and confident woman that you are.
