How to book your boudoir session
I am beyond excited that you are considering booking a boudoir session with The Fifth House Boudoir! A boudoir shoot is one of the most empowering, thrilling, exciting and FUN experiences a woman can do just. for. her.
If you’re reading this page, you may be facing a few jitters about doing a boudoir shoot. And I get it– I really do. Having a few jitters and “What in the world am I thinking?” thoughts are completely normal. One thing you must know is that my main goal in this process is to make you feel so comfortable and in a safe space so that you end up having the best time!
Below I’ve outlined the process of a boudoir shoot at The Fifth House, so now all you have to do is pick your collection (Sun is 1.5 hours / Moon is 1 hour) and let us do the rest!
Before you book, there is always an option to schedule a consultation. During this virtual call, you and I will get a chance to chat so I can learn all the things you’re dreaming about for your session. This is a good way for us to meet (virtually) so that you get an idea of what to expect for the day of and help me get to you know a little better. You’ll see my hype-woman energy in action!
STEP 1
CHOOSE YOUR PACKAGE AND SESSION DATE
Once you’ve chosen the package that works best for you, choose a date from the available shoot dates. All available dates are in black and are mapped out for the year! Be sure to fill out the Intake Form prior to booking– this will help me gauge your expectations so that we’re both on the same page for your session. You can view the calendar HERE.
STEP 2
PLAN YOUR OUTFITS & ACCESSORIES
This part is always so much fun! Once you’ve signed the contract and paid your deposit (required to hold your session date), I will send you my in-depth prep guide (if you haven’t downloaded it already). This guide gives you so much information– from suggestions for what to wear to the most flattering pieces for your body type.
STEP 3
TRANSFORMATION EXTRAVAGANZA!
Whether your preference is a fresh & natural look or all-out glam, you will be covered with a full hair and makeup treatment! Your session will start with a hair + makeup with my amazing artists (after enjoying a mimosa, of course)! Please arrive on time and come to the studio with clean, dry hair and a fresh face, ready to be pampered and feel beautiful before the session.
STEP 4
TIME TO PARTY!
Immediately following your hair + makeup pampering, we will go over the order of outfits and where we’ll shoot first. Once the shoot begins, you can expect me to give you all of the encouragement and direction! You’re not expected to know supermodel poses throughout the shoot. I will show you what to do and encourage improvising whenever you feel comfortable. I have no shame and will say things to elicit laughter whenever possible, too… so be prepared (or, actually.. .don’t. It’s better that way).
STEP 5
SCHEDULE YOUR VIEWING SESSION
Before you leave your session, we will set up an online ordering session via video chat. This is where you get to see your beautiful images and choose which ones you want for your album.
How many will you choose? What will you create? You hold all the power. Get a few. Get them all. The best part is you get to decide! I will help you select any gift items you’d like to create from your session. You choose from a variety of albums, boxed images and wall art that are sure to please anyone you are looking to surprise (especially yourself!).
STEP 6
DELIVERY
This is when you get to see your beautiful images in your hands! If this is a gift for your significant other, this is also when you have to hide the album until you’re ready to give it to your sweetie. That’s the hard part.
The 5th House Boudoir’s Dhiana Skrmetti is an intimate portrait photographer located in Gulfport, Mississippi– fifteen minutes west of Biloxi, Mississippi, one hour east of Mobile, Alabama, and an hour and a half away from New Orleans, Louisiana.
