Size is Not a Measure of Worth
This should be obvious, but let’s go over it one more time because we all need to hear it: you are not your weight, your dress size, or the number on the scale. Your worth is not measured by how you look on the outside but by who you are on the inside. You are so much more than that.
So often, we allow our physical appearance to dictate our self-worth. We become consumed with being thin or having the perfect body that we forget to focus on our health and well-being. We get caught up in the numbers and forget what really matters.
We need to remember that our size does not define us. We are so much more than that. We are kind, caring, and compassionate. We are strong and resilient. We are beautiful, inside and out.
Think of one of your beautiful friends. Would you ever think unkind thoughts about her body? Of course not…so let’s try really hard not to do it to ourselves. We need to be our own cheerleaders!
Mommying Ain't Easy
Losing yourself after having a baby is common, and I wish people talked about it more. It’s not just the physical changes that can be tough to deal with, but the mental and emotional ones too.
For many women, it’s tough to come to terms with their new bodies. You may feel like you are not good enough or that you will never be able to reach your pre-pregnancy weight. You may feel like you have lost control and don’t know how to get it back.
It’s important to remember that the numbers on the scale do not measure your worth. And that is OK! You are still the same person, just in a different body.
Your new body is fantastic and has accomplished something incredible. It is strong and beautiful. It has grown and nurtured a whole human life!
So, love yourself, mama. Love yourself as your babies love you! You deserve it.
Aging: Your Body is Your Artwork
We all go through the aging process, but it’s often seen as negative. We are constantly bombarded with messages telling us that we must fight aging to stay young and beautiful.
But why? Why can’t we just embrace the aging process and appreciate our bodies for what they are? Our bodies work so damn hard for us every single day. They’ve gone the distance and have literally held us up in the face of so many challenges. Think about how amazing that is!
Your body is a work of art and deserves to be celebrated. No matter what anyone else says, your body is beautiful just the way it is. I am here to help you see that. I see beauty in all bodies and want to show you just how gorgeous you are. Too often, women compare themselves to others and focus on their flaws. But everybody is unique and special in their own way.
